I saw these 2 side tables at TJMaxx/Homegoods last night for $49.99 each. I’m thinking they would look nice as bedside tables.
The tops of the tables are black glass. I think the design is so interesting… but it also looks like a tiny circus cage. Haha!
Do you think it would be a good fit?
Edit: They’re similar to these tables here but in all black instead of chrome.

They’re pretty, but I’m unsure – they seem like they might be less steady than your current tables, especially on carpet. It would probably depend on how heavy they are?
Also, if you keep your current lamps, it might not look as nice as the current setup — too many circles and too much metal compared to what you’ve got now?
Maybe buy, try, and return if it doesn’t work? 🙂
I agree with you about the circles… lots of round shapes going on there. Hmm. Also, storage in the future may be an issue.
Are they really big? Will you be putting them underneath the lamps?
Mmm I’d say probably a little less than 24″ in diameter. Yup that’s where the lamps would go if I decide to get them

$49.99/ea is a little steep, no? But it definitely is unique and with your gold lamps on top, it would look so pretty! Have you tried vintage hunting? After visiting the Rose Bowl flea market in LA, I feel so determined to find a really one-of-a-kind piece that no one else will ever have! >:P
It *is* a bit steep…but I found the unique shape striking. The price and whether they would work stopped me from buying them off the bat. I haven’t gone to a flea market (closest one to me is Alameda, near Oakland) in a while.. I’m waiting until the weather is warmer until I venture out there 😀 excited to go back though!!

I’m not familiar with TJMAXX’s return policy, but I’m definitely a buy-and-see-if-it-works-at-home type of person, with all my purchases. Your bedroom looks great right now too, btw! I love the paintings (prints?)!

I think they are quite nice and might actually lighten up your bedroom by raising your lamps a little (make it a bit less bottom-heavy). Also, I think the black glass could be a cool reflective surface for those gorgeous copper lamp bases.
