Crepes are one of the cheapest and easiest desserts to make, in my opinion. You don’t need much to make them. And they are quick and easy to make! My favorite type of crepes are Nutella with strawberries and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. This time, however, I only had some bananas and chocolate syrup on hand. They were still delicious!

I had never made whipped cream before this year. After quickly googling a recipe for homemade whipped cream on a whim, it’s safe to say that I will NEVER buy whipped cream in a can AGAIN. I did try using a handheld whisk… but I ended up using an electric mixer instead. I guess my whisking technique isn’t fast enough!! Or if you don’t have an electric mixer, I’d try a regular blender.

Homemade Pineapple Ice Cream

Do you have a food processor at home? Or a fancy blender that makes ice cream? I recently tried out this easy recipe by YouTube sensation, Cookingwithdog. (By the way you’re not actually cooking a dog with these instructional videos. You’ll see what I mean!)

Justin bought me a food processor for Christmas because I kept saying I wanted to make this specific recipe for homemade pineapple ice cream. I made the mistake of not freezing the pineapple chunks long enough, but I fixed it by popping the mixture into the freezer for a little while longer, and then adding more cream and mixing again.

…and this was HEAVENLY. HEA-VEN-LY!!!! Light, fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth good.

Hi everyone! Just checking in real quick!

My mom has moved out, the weather has been getting colder and I’m back to cooking once again! It has been over 6 months since I last cooked from scratch. Recently I made this delicious spaghetti again as well as this new goodie (green beans with miso butter) from Bon Appetit magazine.

Also, the craziness of October has blew by and Justin and I don’t have much planned aside from visiting family during the holidays.

In other news, my desktop died suddenly and now I have to buy a new one. Remind me to never buy anything from eMachines again. I guess it’s okay because the computer died just in time for Black Friday sales. I’m not looking to buy any kind of doorbuster deal, but I’ll try to find a quality desktop with good specs that’s discounted during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend. Any PC recommendations for me?

My coveted lace blouse is finally in my clutches thanks to the wonderful and kind Erika. One size too big and thus a little loose but it is not enough to deter me My hunger for summery lace has been satisfied thanks to you!

Speaking of hunger… the sole reason of our farmers market trip was to eat freshly baked naan and curry, and wash it down with a large cup of mango lassi.
