My past weekend in photos
Justin suggested we go to the city for dim sum and the California Academy of Sciences and I gladly obliged! I hadn’t been there in years and I wanted to check out their new look.
OOTD:

First, some dim sum at Ton Kiang for breakfast!

My FAVORITE dim sum dish of all time:

Some shots from the Academy of Sciences:

You can’t really tell in this photo but those were some BIG FISH:

I wasn’t able to get a clear shot but I wanted to show how beautiful the color gradient is on this snake; orange to sea foam green!

I love the color of this sea urchin! Burgundy, hot pink and orange!

Teeny little octopus coming out of a glass bottle:

We also went to the park with Buddy! It was quite hot and I rarely see him with his mouth open like this so I had to take advantage of the situation

Although I’m trying to be good with spending I popped into Goodwill to see what I could find… I bought 2 dresses. Eeep!

Silk Banana Republic dress in Size 0 for $7.99 (with old Forever 21 belt)
I am in LOVE with the fit but unfortunately there is a small stain on the left chest area. I tried my best to get it out but it wouldn’t budge after cleaning. So I used some leftover fabric scraps from my shop and sewed a second layer to cover it (its the pinky-coral dupioni under the original folds). I played around with the fabric scraps for at least two hours… Draping is definitely not my strong suit so I’m proud that this project turned out nicely.

Grecian-inspired Maggy London dress in a Size 2 for $12.49
I’ve fallen in love with coral for spring and summer! I admit I tried this on just for fun and it ended up to be an impulse buy. I figure I can wear it to weddings or company parties in the future.
Yay! So that was my weekend. Thanks for reading!
